Saddle Fitting:

I look at saddle fit as a dynamic relationship between Horse, rider, and tack, and work to find harmony and balance between all aspects. I look at each Horse and Rider as a unique individual, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. I am independently educated and certified, and blend my saddle fitting practice with my experience as a movement worker and trainer to wholistically support my clients. My fitting services are available throughout Southwestern Ontario.

In 2023 I began my saddle fit education with SaddleFit4Life, and after completing the intensive curriculum and 30 externship evaluations, achieved my certification as a Certified Equine Ergonomist in June of 2024.

In October of 2024 I flew out to the UK for a week of training with WOW Saddles, and fell even more in love with their products after witnessing the breathtaking transformations of horses fitted with WOW tack. I gained so much more experience with asymmetry and the process of creating a saddle tailored to the specific needs of horses and riders. I look forward to continuing my education and experience, and I am incredibly excited to bring WOW to Canada!

Why WOW?

I first came across WOW when I was shopping for used saddles for a hard-to-fit horse. It was pure luck that someone was selling one close to me, and I was blown away by how fast my riding improved after trying it. Things that had been immensely difficult for me before were suddenly easy, and I felt an incredible change in my horse's way of going.  A month later, I was in contact with WOW, and putting together the details of travelling to the UK for training at their workshop. I just knew that this was the brand I wanted to be fitting for!

So, Why Did WOW Work for Me?

WOW was able to create such a difference in my riding for three main reasons:

1, It's Weight Distribution:

WOW has been developing it's innovative technology since 2003, and is considered the best in the world for pressure distribution. It accomplishes this with the FLAIR (foam + air) system. FLAIR panels contain foam and air bags that can be inflated by a saddle fitter. When the Horse moves, they can displace the air, and move comfortably through all their ranges of motion without ever creating pressure points. These airbags can also be adjusted to fit asymmetrical Horses or riders, enabling more balanced riding. Also available is the Korrector half pad, which can be used to bring the benefits of FLAIR to any saddle.

2, Virtually Unlimited Adjustability:

The WOW system has options for all types of horses and riders, offering 21 headplate options, 3 tree curvatures, 12 seat shapes, 4 seat sizes, hundreds of panel specifications, and MORE! The saddles are modular; parts can be changed out to suit the Horse and Rider perfectly, with thousands of possible combinations. Even better, since these options are standardized, we can use the saddle gauge to measure the horse for their perfect fit.

3, Rider Fit.

This wealth of options aren't only available for the Horse, they are for the rider too. A saddle can be put together exactly to the specification of a rider and accommodate a wide variety of bodies. Rider fit is always something I've personally struggled with, but with WOW, I have finally been able to find saddles that are both supportive and COMFORTABLE for mine (and many other's) bodies. Also, WOW makes custom saddles for para riders too, so if you need something extra special, they have you covered!

WOW Doesn't Only Make Saddles

There's also a full lineup of girths and bridles to match!

The FreeSpace girth incorporates innovative technology which allows room for the ascending pectoral muscle to move, improving the Horse's stride length and comfort. The girth itself incorporates it's own 'tree' and padding system that distributes pressure and stabilizes the saddle.

It has been given the stamp of approval by hundreds of Horses, riders, saddle fitters, and equine professionals, including Gillian Higgins of Horses Inside Out.

The FreeSpace bridle is designed to give space and support for the Horse to work in a consistent and still contact, allowing better balance and rhythm. The Freespace bridle does not impinge on facial nerves, blood vessels, the TMJ, nor over the poll.
